"The theatre is so endlessly fascinating because it's so accidental.

It's so much like life."

- Arthur Miller

CATHERINE PUGH

Creative Director

Catherine founded SOMETHING WICKED after the success of the all-female production of Macbeth in collaboration with Tread the Boards Theatre Company. She felt that after the pandemic had struck the performance industry so hard, here was an opportunity to create the type of theatre she loves to be part of, and not simply waiting for the phone to ring.
Catherine graduated from Hull University back in 2008 and since then has enjoyed a diverse career as an actor for stage, screen and radio. She has also had the privilege of working with Youth Theatre's over the UK including Playbox Theatre in Warwick and more recently as an Acting Coach for the Academy of Performing Arts School in Greater Manchester.
Catherine is passionate about the power of performance and believes live theatre should be available and accessible to all, and these values are the fundamental roots for SOMETHING WICKED.

SKYE VIOLET

Associate Director

Skye graduated from London based professional performance school, Millennium Performing Arts, in 2013 and then went onto complete a BA (hons) in Professional Drama Practice with Middlesex University London. Since then she has been fortunate enough to perform in many pantomimes and theatre productions across the country.
Skye’s most recent endeavour saw her complete a PGCE where her work on the use of Drama techniques to enhance understanding in English was chosen for presentation at the Manchester Metropolitan University 2021 PGCE Student Teacher Symposium.
Skye believes in the power of performing not only as a creative but as a source of wellbeing and an educational tool.
She is absolutely thrilled to be joining SOMETHING WICKED as Associate Director.
